iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max Price Adjustments
Several retailers are adjusting the prices of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max to boost sales in anticipation of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro, set to launch on September 9.
Current Pricing
– The lowest storage version of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently priced between 33.6 million to 34 million VND, down from 34.5 million VND at the beginning of September and approximately 4 million VND lower than its original launch price of 38 million VND in September 2025.
– The iPhone 17 Pro 256 GB version is now priced at 31 to 31.8 million VND, a decrease of 500,000 VND since early September and about 3.2 to 4 million VND lower than the initial price of 35 million VND.

Retail representative from CellphoneS noted that the price drop for the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max is more significant compared to the standard iPhone 17, as dealers clear stock for the new generation. While tech enthusiasts are waiting for the new models, regular consumers have increased purchases due to the lower prices.
Used Market Prices
In the used market, the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s lowest storage version has decreased by 1 to 1.5 million VND, now ranging from 28 to 29 million VND based on the device’s condition.
Future Price Predictions
Experts predict that prices may rise again after the iPhone 18 Pro launch, similar to the trend observed with the iPhone 16 Pro last year. Apple has faced memory chip shortages that could impact component costs. Although Apple has maintained the launch prices for the iPhone 17 series, the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max are expected to see price increases of 150 to 200 USD.
Sales Performance
The iPhone 17 series is reported to be generating a strong upgrade cycle for Apple, helping the company maintain a record market share in Q2 2026, even as global smartphone shipments decline.
