Xiaomi Vacuum 6 Max Features
Xiaomi has invested significantly in the navigation system of the Vacuum 6 Max, utilizing three AI-powered cameras to analyze and avoid obstacles. The robot demonstrates effective obstacle avoidance, recognizing and steering clear of various objects, including small items like headphone wires.
Obstacle Recognition
The robot can identify over 200 types of household obstacles and more than 80 common furniture items, including thin wires as small as 3 mm in diameter.
Security Camera Functionality
The cameras also serve as a security feature, allowing for remote monitoring via the Xiaomi Home app. This includes two-way communication and the ability to control the robot’s movements in real-time.
Lidar Sensor Technology
In addition to cameras, Xiaomi employs a retractable Lidar sensor. This design competes with Ecovacs’ side-mounted system. When encountering low furniture or shelves, the robot automatically lowers the radar unit to a height of 9.3 cm, ensuring smooth operation without getting stuck or misjudging situations.
