Trouble may be brewing for Santa Clara County’s top educator. Tonight, the Santa Clara County Board of Education will discuss the fate of Superintendent Mary Ann Dewan behind closed doors. The item listed on the board meeting’s agenda is labeled, “Public Employee Discipline/Dismissal/Release/Complaint.” It’s prompted a community petition to circulate in support of Dewan’s leadership — and concern that her job is in jeopardy.
