Elon Musk responds after man builds fully functional Cybertruck out of wood for $15,000

Elon Musk has finally noticed the wooden Cybertruck.

After spending 100 hours building it, a YouTuber shared it with the hopes of getting Musk’s attention.

It worked and could mean the wooden truck will have a new home at Tesla HQ.

ND Woodworking Art is already an icon of the wooden car-making game.

He’s built his son a Ferrari GTO 250 and a tank that shoots.

He also once made a huge wooden train for the children of his village to enjoy.

Most recently, he’s attempted one of his most ambitious builds to date.

After receiving a ton of requests from his subscribers, ND Woodworking Art took on the Cybertruck.

He welded a metal chassis and then constructed the entire body using wood.

Everything from the seats to the steering wheel was also wooden.

He added a few modern extras to give it that quintessential Cybertruck look, like the LED headlights, display screen and that infamous huge wiper.

The truckbed has a functioning ramp, varnished in a deeper hue.

Here is where he keeps the Cyberquad he made for his son (yes, it’s also wooden).

He made a video of the process, which took an impressive 100 days and cost him $15,000.

At the time, the Cybertruck’s release date was still the subject of speculation.

The YouTuber was one of many people jumping the queue by making their versions of the truck.

Like the guy who made a Cybertruck-inspired gold cart.

But besides that, he was hoping to catch the attention of Elon Musk.

He posted his wooden creation on X with a message for him.

“I am aware that Tesla has faced its share of challenges in bringing the Cybertruck to fruition. However, I maintain unwavering faith in your vision and the capabilities of Tesla,” he said.

“I hope to have the honor of gifting this wooden Cybertruck to you and Tesla, to wish you and Tesla continued success and maintain your position in the international arena.”

Musk actually responded, using just a few words as he is known to do.

“Sure, much appreciated,” he said.

Whether this wooden Cybertruck is on its way to Tesla HQ or not is still to be seen.

However, users were blown away by the skills and dedication shown by the woodworker.

“Looks-wise, this is gonna give the original cyber truck a run for their money,” one commenter said.

“If you sold this thing as an entire puzzle, I would buy it,” another said.
